Amazon Prime Day 2026 in Canada: The Deals That Were Actually Real

What we do during Prime Day to help you buy on the numbers instead of the hype, the Amazon.ca deals that actually hit all-time lows, and a thank you to everyone who tracks prices with us.

Prime Day is built to make you buy fast. The countdown timers, the "lowest price ever" banners, the limited-time labels. All of it is there to get you to decide before you have a chance to check whether the price is any good. Often it is not. A "60% off" banner means nothing if the regular price was quietly raised the week before.

We think a purchase should come from the numbers, not the pressure. Every day we track Amazon.ca prices, and through Prime Day we checked them more often than usual, because sale prices move from hour to hour. This post covers what we did during the event, which deals were actually real, and a thank you to the people who make our data worth trusting.

What we did during Prime Day

Our aim is to help you decide with facts instead of a gut feeling. For every product we show the full price history and a plain answer to one question: is today's price actually low, or does it only look low? You see what the product has really cost over the past weeks and months, not the retailer's inflated "regular" price. During Prime Day we refreshed those prices more often so the numbers stayed current as deals came and went.

That is the whole idea. Buy because the price history says it is a good time, not because a timer is telling you to hurry.

The deals that were actually real

Across the Amazon products we track, 39 had a real price drop of 20% or more during the event. 30 of those hit all-time lows, the cheapest we have ever recorded them. The strongest, ranked by Lowvyn Score, which is how confident we are that the deal is real based on its price history:

  • NETGEAR EX6120 WiFi Range Extender fell to $36.99 (from $79.99, about 54% off). All-time low, Lowvyn Score 92.
  • JBL Live 770NC Wireless Headphones dropped to $129.98 (from $299.98, about 57% off). All-time low, Score 91.
  • LG S95TR 9.1.5 Dolby Atmos Soundbar hit $998 (from $2,098, about 52% off). That is $1,100 off, the biggest dollar saving we saw. All-time low, Score 91.
  • Sony WH-CH520 On-Ear Headphones fell to $48 (from $99.99, about 52% off). All-time low, Score 89.
  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8125 All-in-One Printer dropped to $99.99 (from $209.99, about 52% off). All-time low, Score 88.
  • Sony WH-CH720N Noise Cancelling Headphones hit $118 (from around $248, about 52% off), with hundreds of price checks behind the number. All-time low, Score 83 to 84.
  • NutriBullet Pro 1000 Blender fell to $59.99 (from $129.99, about 54% off). All-time low, Score 83, and one of the most-tracked products on this list.
  • Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven (TOA-60WC) dropped to $199.99 (from $449.99, about 56% off). All-time low, Score 75.

What dropped, and what did not

The event leaned heavily toward electronics and audio. Headphones and soundbars saw the deepest, most trustworthy cuts, along with networking gear and home printers. Kitchen and small appliances such as air fryers and blenders were the other strong category. Baby gear barely moved, which is what we usually see. Baby essentials tend to discount more around back-to-school and Black Friday than they do on Prime Day.

A fair number of "deals" also did not survive the history check. A big banner percentage sitting on top of a price that was the same two weeks ago is not a deal. It is marketing. Those never made our list.

Thank you to everyone who tracks with us

We want to say a genuine thank you to everyone who uses Lowvyn to track products. Every product you track is one more price we watch closely. Your tracking tells us which deals people actually care about, and it is a big part of how we decide what to keep an eye on. When you follow a price, wait out a bad one, or buy at a real low, you are helping the next shopper too. The data is only useful because people put it to work, and that is you. Thank you.

How to tell a real deal from a fake one

It comes down to one habit. Compare the sale price to the product's own history, not to the retailer's "regular" price. A price is a real deal when it is at or near the lowest it has genuinely been, not just lower than a number someone chose to make the discount look big. We check that for every product, every day, so you do not have to.

Lowvyn is free to use. Track any Amazon.ca product and we will tell you whether today's price is actually good, and let you know if it drops again or the deal ends.

Next up: Black Friday

Prime Day is the warm-up. Black Friday and Cyber Monday land in late November, and they usually beat Prime Day on TVs, laptops, and larger appliances. The best thing you can do now is start tracking the products you have your eye on, so when the banners go up in November you already know what a real price looks like. The current week's best verified deals are always at lowvyn.com/deals/this-week.
