What Lowvyn is

Lowvyn is a price tracking tool for Canadian shoppers. We collect publicly available pricing data from Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca, and BestBuy.ca across product categories including baby gear, electronics, home essentials, and more. We present this data in a way that helps you make better purchasing decisions.

Pricing data

The prices shown on Lowvyn are collected from public product pages and may not reflect the exact price you see at checkout. Prices can change at any time. Retailers may show different prices based on your location, account status, or other factors.

Lowvyn Scores, deal verdicts, and price signals are calculated from historical data. They are informational tools, not financial advice. Always verify the current price on the retailer's website before making a purchase.

Accounts

You may create an account to track products and receive price alerts. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@lowvyn.com.

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your province, you may only use Lowvyn with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. This permanently removes your personal information, tracked items, and alerts.

Community submissions and user content

Lowvyn allows users to submit deals and other content through features like Submit Deal and Community Deals ("User Content").

License to Lowvyn. By submitting User Content, you grant Lowvyn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display the User Content in connection with operating and improving the service.

Your responsibility. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit, that the deal information you submit is accurate and not misleading, and that your submission does not violate any law or third-party right.

Moderation. We may remove, edit, or refuse to display any User Content at our discretion and without notice. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly submit misleading or inappropriate content. We are not obligated to monitor User Content, but we reserve the right to do so.

No endorsement. User Content reflects the views of the submitter, not Lowvyn. We do not verify the accuracy of community-submitted deals and are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on them.

Browser extension

The Lowvyn browser extension reads product data from supported retailer pages to track prices on your behalf. It does not modify retailer pages, interfere with checkout processes, or collect data from non-retailer websites.

You can uninstall the extension at any time through your browser's extension settings.

Affiliate links and disclosures

Some links on Lowvyn are affiliate links. When you click a product link and make a qualifying purchase, Lowvyn may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Lowvyn earns from qualifying purchases made through Amazon.ca product links.

Other retailers. Lowvyn may also participate in affiliate programs for Walmart.ca, BestBuy.ca, and other retailers, either directly or through affiliate networks. The specific programs in use are listed in our Privacy Policy.

Editorial independence. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we track, how we rank them, or what deal verdict we assign. Lowvyn Scores and price signals are based purely on historical price data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download data from Lowvyn
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Use the service for any illegal purpose
Submit false or misleading deal information through the community deals feature
Interfere with the operation of the service

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual property

The Lowvyn name, logo, website design, and original content (including blog posts and deal analysis) are owned by Lowvyn. Product images, titles, and descriptions belong to their respective retailers and their suppliers. Lowvyn displays this content for the purpose of price comparison and consumer information. We do not claim ownership of retailer or manufacturer content.

Not affiliated with retailers

Lowvyn is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc., Walmart Inc., Best Buy Canada Ltd., or any other retailer whose data we display. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Availability

We do our best to keep Lowvyn available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.

Disclaimer of warranties

Lowvyn is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pricing data will be accurate at any given moment. Prices, scores, and verdicts are informational only, not financial or purchasing advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lowvyn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Lowvyn's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid Lowvyn in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

Exceptions. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Canadian or provincial consumer protection law.

Termination

You may stop using Lowvyn at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe termination is necessary to protect Lowvyn, other users, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, User Content license, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through email (where we have your email address) or an on-site notice. For non-material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lowvyn regarding the service. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our prior written consent. Lowvyn may assign these terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
