Introducing Lowvyn Plus: Get Money Back After You Buy
Lowvyn Plus watches the price after you buy and tells you when you may be able to claim the difference. Plus unlimited tracking, instant drop alerts, and faster refresh. The core Lowvyn tools stay Free to Use.

By Abhi, Founder of Lowvyn
Lowvyn started with a car seat. I bought a Graco 4Ever for $449 on Amazon.ca, and a couple of weeks later the price dropped by $100. I only noticed because I happened to check. I contacted Amazon, asked for the difference, and got a $100 credit.
That moment taught me something I have built Lowvyn around ever since: price history is valuable before you buy, and it is just as valuable after. Most of us never check again once the box arrives, and retailers know it.
Today I am launching Lowvyn Plus, a paid membership built around that second half of the story. It watches the price after you buy and tells you when you may be able to get money back.
What stays free
Before anything else: nothing you use today is moving behind a paywall.
- Deal or No Deal verification. Lowvyn still tells you when a "sale" is really just the regular price.
- The Lowvyn Score and the Buy Now vs Wait call. Still free on every product.
- Cross-retailer, tax-aware comparison. Still free across Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Canada Computers, Newegg, and Visions.
- Price history and price drop alerts. Still free, for up to 10 tracked products.
These are the reasons Lowvyn exists, and they stay Free to Use. Plus adds to them. It does not take any of them away.
What Plus adds
1. Price Protection: claim money back after you buy
This is the headline feature, and the one I wanted for myself.
Many Canadian retailers will refund the difference if a price drops shortly after you buy. Some have a formal price adjustment policy, others will often do it as a goodwill gesture if you ask. The catch is that the window is short, usually somewhere between two and four weeks, and you have to notice the drop yourself.
With Plus, you tell Lowvyn what you bought, where, and what you paid. You can tap "I bought this" on any product page, search for the product, or paste the product link. From that point Lowvyn:
- Watches the price every day for the rest of that retailer's window.
- Alerts you when the price falls below what you paid, by enough to be worth claiming.
- Shows the retailer's policy, the steps to ask, and how many days you have left, so you are not hunting through help pages with a receipt in your hand.
- Keeps a running total of the money you have recovered.
Lowvyn only flags a drop when it trusts the price. If the data is thin, stale, or looks like a pricing glitch, it stays quiet rather than sending you to customer service on a false alarm. And to be clear about what this is: Lowvyn tells you when you may be eligible. The retailer makes the final call, especially where the adjustment is goodwill rather than written policy.
There is no cap on how many purchases you can watch. One claim on a stroller, a TV, or a laptop can cover years of membership.
2. Unlimited tracking and deal watches
Free accounts can track up to 10 products and set up to 3 deal watches. Plus removes both limits. Track every item on your baby registry, every part in your next PC build, and every appliance you are pricing for a renovation, all in one place.
Plus also removes the limit on intent search, so you can describe what you want in plain words ("a quiet dishwasher under $900") as often as you like.
3. Instant drop alerts
On the free plan, price alerts go through a short review step before they send, which keeps noise down but can add a delay. Plus members skip that queue. When a tracked price drops by a meaningful amount, the alert goes out right away, which matters when a good price only lasts a few hours.
4. Faster refresh, on your schedule
Plus members' tracked items move to the front of the line on every refresh. You can also choose how often Lowvyn checks a specific product: every 2, 4, 6, or 12 hours, depending on how fast that retailer allows. If you are waiting on a GPU or a TV during a sale week, you can watch it closely without refreshing the page yourself.
5. Detailed price history
Free accounts see one price per day on the history chart. Plus members see every price Lowvyn recorded, including the drops and rebounds that happen within a single day. That is often where flash sales and pricing errors show up.
Pricing
Lowvyn Plus is $2.99 a month or $14.99 a year. Both plans start with a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel any time before the trial ends without being charged.
One membership works everywhere: the website, the iPhone app, and the Android app. Subscribe on whichever one you like and Plus unlocks on all of them when you sign in with the same account.
Why a paid plan at all
Lowvyn earns most of its money today from affiliate links. When you click through to a retailer and buy, the retailer may pay us a small commission at no cost to you. That keeps the free tools free, but it also means our income depends on you buying something.
Plus is different. You pay us to help you spend less, including on things you have already bought. I like that alignment better. It also lets me keep building Lowvyn for Canadian shoppers without turning the free experience into an ad-filled one.
Get started
- Go to lowvyn.com/plus, or open Plus in the Lowvyn app.
- Pick monthly or yearly and start your free trial.
- Add your most recent big purchase on the Price Protection page and let Lowvyn watch it for you.
If you bought something in the last couple of weeks, that is the best place to start. You might already be owed money.
